Anabella Funk is a documentary film director based in Austin.
In 2008 she received the Student Filmmaker Award at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival. Her film "Apartment 308" received the 2020 Social Justice Award at the Florence Film Awards. She was then honored with the Educate Her Award at the ConnectHer Film Festival, where she later served as a panelist in 2024. She also worked as an ambassador at the Hangzhou International Documentary Film Festival and served on the board of directors for the NGO Sierra Roots.
After graduating with honors from the London School of Journalism, Funk worked for the Office of Emergency Services in Northern California. Her PSA series on wildfire mitigation efforts, Ready Nevada County, is a finalist for the 2025 CAPIO Epic Awards.
Funk currently resides in her hometown of Austin, where she volunteers at Casa Marianella, a migrant transitional shelter.
